By removing personal characteristics, the social dynamic between figures becomes abstract and sometimes metaphorical. Within this exploration of human relationships, I like to play with narrative and scale to explore the interplay between feelings of isolation and connection, independence and interdependence, intimacy and anonymity and spatial versus interest-based community. Whether through love, sense of place, shared values or set of beliefs, I'm interested in the “glue” that pulls people out of individualism and into the whole.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn this series of three postcards called \"La Métamorphose\" two figures travel together in a boat whose form continually transforms. As the vessel shifts, so do its sails, symbolizing the evolving relationship between the figures.
