My son Edmondo and I selected these stones from the Maria River in the Bergell Valley. All the types of stones found upstream gather in the river’s course. I abstract the shape of the river stone through six cuts, aiming to shift the focus to the content—the material—which is independent of the form.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAll the pieces have been put back together. Now covered in new scars. The removed core leaves behind an empty space, a hollow into which light shines through at the corners. Like a broken jug that has been put back together.
