"In a constant process of discoveries and changes, I decided it was time to bring a little ancestry to my work, starting to portray black people in my paintings. My desire is to place black people as the protagonist, addressing themes such as black representation, self-esteem and thinking about how these roles are present in our society through my paintings and drawings.
My desire is to place black people as the protagonist, addressing themes such as black representation, self-esteem and thinking about how these roles are present in our society through my paintings and drawings. I portray dark people, with a minimalist beige background, I vary a lot in the colors of clothes and accessories, repeating a lot of the shades of blue, which are my favorites. I think I do simple work, most of the time literal, and I would like people to see me exactly like that.
