Mackie Bowe lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He has been working on the present series in his studio for the last three years. Some pieces has already been sold to private collectors in California.
Mackie gets his inspiration “from the smallest places to the sides of freights, bumpers barely hanging on over at the underpass, steel painted dumpsters in industrial red and toxic blue worn down to the scratch…Kings of the wood and fathers that passed. Mayberry, pickles k, Otto f. Outside shooters And floppers and jumpers and leapers and crum tyrants that ruled. Two hand sets and the end of eras to sky jumpers and doctors.”
“Process is disruptive and ugly at best and I’m lucky if i get one good piece out of the 100 that live underneath.”
