Influenced by Matthew Wong, Van Gogh, and Kandinsky, his paintings reimagine loneliness as a space for reflection, transformation, and new emotional possibilities

Different landscapes evoke different feelings and this one felt transcendent. There were infinite blades of grass, illuminated by the powerful sun which made it feel like I could see through everything very clearly, as if I was on this path to something divine, where I felt like I found out something, perhaps a bigger truth. While walking on this path I felt as if I left a version of me behind and closer to who I am. There were also two versions of this landscape, one that I saw with my eyes and one that I experienced. The two figures depict a transformation, becoming a new self.

Landscapes with paths are also common across art history, such as many made by Van Gogh, Matthew Wong, Hockney, Kandinsky, Matisse and others.
