For the postcard project, I submitted a graphite, ink pen, and marker drawing about Harlem Renaissance sculptress Augusta Savage and painter Lois Mailou Jones making art in Paris. My pen technique is all about finding value in form, building shadows by applying pressure for darks and using a light hand for the most positive areas.
