The Curators, founded in 2018 in New York is the brainchild of Lea Simone Allegria and Augustin Doublet. Driven by a shared vision, they sought to disrupt the art market and give a fresh light to emerging artists through social media. Their journey began with a profound commitment to breaking down the barriers of opacity and elitism that have historically characterized the art world.
In 2023, the gallery established a project space in Paris, rue Rochebrune 11é.
Then in 2026, it opened a new permanent space at the 20 rue Meslay 75003 in the Marais district, marking a second chapter and the consolidation of its long-term program.
The Curators welcomes collaborations with independent curators, writers and institutions whose research resonates with the gallery’s program. The space on rue Meslay is conceived as a platform for curated projects, dialogues and critical exchanges.
The ethos of The Curators centers around creating a thriving, inclusive, human-centric, and joyous community for artists and art lovers.
