These oil paintings on paper are from my series depicting modern women with the story of historical witch trials, highlighting the flimsy reasons for their accusations. While witches were given a convenient image as ogres wearing black clothes and pointy hats, the reality is they were ordinary women mostly doing ordinary things. While we may not hang or burn women today, women continue to struggle with human rights through restrictions on bodily autonomy, medical gaslighting, assault, workplace inequality, and are targeted for being different.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
