Laura Mullen — Correspondances #2

These medusas were painted when I was translating Stéphanie Chaillou’s first book, with its wonderful riff on Cixious’ “Laugh of the Medusa.” This was a single painting: I cut it into three and wrote (quickly) the first words I thought of on the final and least full card. I intend to send these as postcards—we will see which of the three makes it (I have had hand-painted postcards disappear in the past)—I like what you are trying to do with the show and look forward to seeing how the cards arrive…if they do!

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
