Where I Post From reimagines the postcard in an era of digital spectatorship. Visits to New York’s public live-streaming webcams transform fleeting broadcasts into personal mementos. Appearing both on-site and in-stream, presence becomes fragmented. Self-surveillance prioritizes appearance over authenticity. The medium of the postcard, an early form of social media, established the circulation of images that enable experiences to be shared. The ubiquity of live-streaming today demonstrates the desire to be witnessed and the enduring value of views.
