Fabienne Jenny Jacquet — Correspondances #1

I chose to hand-draw my postcard with pencils. My work always has surreal and humorous elements. In this drawing 'Life is dancing a ballet through shards of glass' I am reflecting on the fragility of life and on my own 'journey'. I was born in France but left it to move to the UK on my own when I was young. It was a journey full of loneliness, adventures and often heartbreak, but ultimately this is where I became my own person and found art. The ballerina in is a symbol for the artist travelling through life trying to hold on to her craft, determination and spirit while negotiating a path full of pitfalls and hidden dangers.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
