Jamila Campagna — Correspondances #2

My artistic reasearch investigates both private memory and collective memory, searching for the punctum where personal becomes collective and where collective resonates everyone and anyone story and sentiment of life. Urban dimension and Natural dimension are my main source of inspiration: I see Nature as a path that can show us an ancestral knowledge, something that we own deeply but we have to re-discover; City is the pattern where roads and lives crosses and new meanings unfold themselves.

The postcard that I am sending belong to three different projects:

- the shell one is from my photographic book "Ha fatto anche cose buone" (2025) which talks about my private life and the struggling in my relationship with my hometown Latina (Italy);

- the double shells one is from the series "In Altro Mare" (2013 / 2022), a photo-research I made about my city sea;

- the collage one is from the series "Cartoline da Latina" a four subject postal card edition we realized with Poste Italiane to talk about our city: the impressive collage has been realized as a partecipative artwork by a class of Art School Liceo Artistico Buonarroti (in Latina) and I have been the enthusiastic curator.
