Landscape has been at the heart of my practice since my studies at the École des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne.

Through painting, works on paper, drawings, and prints, I invent places and imagine spaces that lie between figuration and abstraction, inviting meditation.

Observing the sky through the foliage, admiring plants, rocks, the elements, and the beauty of nature. Studying landscape in art, from Joachim Patinir—the inventor of landscape painting in the 16th century—to David Hockney...

This is what fuels my work.

Intuitively, guided by color and gesture, I construct landscapes. It’s a somewhat neglected subject, but one that has its rightful place in our time. Our environment is suffering, mistreated; I want to re-enchant it, to reveal its magic, its mystery, its poetry.

Le paysage est au cœur de ma pratique depuis mes études à l’école des Beaux arts de Saint-Étienne.

À travers la peinture, les œuvres sur papier, dessins, estampes, j’invente des lieux, j’imagine des espaces entre figuration et abstraction qui invitent à la méditation.

Observer le ciel à travers les feuillages, admirer les plantes, les roches, les éléments, la beauté de la nature. Étudier le paysage dans l’art, de Joachim Patinir, l’inventeur du paysage au 16e siècle, à David Hockney...

C’est ce qui nourrit mon travail.

De façon intuitive, guidée par la couleur, le geste, je construis des paysages. C’est un sujet un peu négligé, mais qui a toute sa place à notre époque. Notre environnement est souffrant, maltraité, je veux le réenchanter, donner à voir sa magie, son mystère, sa poésie.
