A painted ocean, a paella, a tin of sardines. Three works that ask what becomes of our food traditions, our diasporic recipes, our matrilineal knowledge, when the source disappears. Nostalgia as warning. The plate is an archive.

Each food carries a history of place, of migration, of hands that cooked before mine. And yet we are the ones emptying the sea.
