Homage to "Tales from the Loop" Inspired by the imagery of the Amazon series “Tales from the Loop”, I started working on a series of landscape shots in May 2020 that reinterpret them and are intended as a tribute to them. I was fascinated by the idea of starting from a concept, using photographic means and manipulations with Photoshop to create a different reality based on places that really exist. At first glance, the photographs appear almost staged - empty, deserted landscapes with technical-looking objects that look like abandoned artifacts or machines. The Project plays with the question of whether we can perceive a real, actual world with our sensory organs at all, or whether our perception is always manipulated by feelings, concepts etc. and is ultimately created in our brain.

Starting from this print edition from 2020, I began experimenting with moving or animated photographs in 2022 and want to present them as NFTs. Due to time constraints, the project was not continued for the time being. In March 2024, Jürgen Tenckhoff (DGPh), with whom I had been in contact in 2022, invited me to participate in his project “Remarkable Artists in the Metaverse” - so the NFT project got rolling again ... The idea behind it was to have found a medium in the Metaverse for “moving” or “animated photographs” that can actually only be viewed digitally and cannot be printed. The first finished NFTs have now been minted on objkt.com. The final format is an mp4 file with 2,560 x 1,440 px at 72 dpi (music by Sascha Ende (filmmusic.io). All NFTs in the project were created from photographed digital images using standard image editing programs. Photographs were taken with a “Lomo Diana Lens+ Super Wide 38mm” on a digital full-frame SLR camera.
