My paintings and collages are an expression of my passion for nature: I’m striving to abstractly express in unabashed and exuberant color my translation of nature. Through intuitive and improvisational activity and mark-making on various support surfaces, I will often incorporate collage elements into my artwork along with expressively painted areas.

I like the process and the challenge of creating collages and assemblages: what interests me is the intuitive nature of combining oftentimes unrelated papers, ephemera, items and objects, to form a visually interesting and stimulating artwork. It is the surprise and discovery along the way - not knowing the end result in advance- that keeps me enthralled.
