I primarily work with oil paint and make process-driven abstract work, but collage has been a stimulating offshoot of my practice over the last few years.

I think a lot about reciprocal material relationships. Paint carries wisdom, as does the body I occupy. There is a fascinating tension between exerting control and completely letting go; in following deliberate instructions for oneself and then forgetting them altogether. Moving to and from these opposing states reveals striking occurrences in both the painting process and my physical handling of materials.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
