I work in narrative painting and look at how humans construct symbolic systems to manage the psychological threat of mortality. I’m also interested in how humor works in images and how it can be used as a relational strategy and coping tool. My paintings are usually small and on silk, often featuring hybrid human-animal figures (especially goats!).
