Laurent Abou Haidar, né à Paris d’un père libanais et d’une mère franco-italienne. Après un parcours scolaire en filière générale, il s’engage dans des études de Droit à Assas et suit des cours du soir aux Beaux-Arts de Paris en pa- rallèle. Pendant une année d’échange en 2010, il se rend au Vietnam sur l’île de Phú Quốc, dans les eaux du Golfe de Thaïlande au large des côtes vietnamiennes et cambodgiennes. Ce voyage révèle sa vocation artistique. Il y organise sa première exposition personnelle en 2018. Depuis, Laurent s’y rend régulièrement, comme une retraite, pour créer, dessiner et y peindre.
Laurent Abou Haidar, born in Paris to a Lebanese father and a Franco-Italian mother. After completing his general education, he pursued studies in Law at Assas while simultaneously taking evening courses at the Beaux-Arts of Paris. In 2010, he embarked on a year-long exchange program to Vietnam, specifically to the island of Phú Quốc, located in the waters of the Gulf of Thailand off the coasts of Vietnam and Cambodia. This journey revealed his artistic calling. In 2018, he organized his first solo exhibition there. Since then, Laurent has been a regular visitor to Phú Quốc, considering it a retreat where he creates, draws, and paints.
