Context
There are two central themes in my artistic work. These are the portrait as a symbol of human existence and the depiction of the relationship between humans and animals.
-The expressive portraits depict interpersonal relationships, thoughts, emotions and states of mind, with human vulnerability playing a significant role.
-In the juxtaposition of humans and animals, my primary concern is the hierarchy within the world order. Here, I draw on the worldview of indigenous peoples, who do not place humans first, but rather regard themselves as equal to or subordinate to animals. These peoples respect the integrity of nature and thus preserve the habitat for us all.
