Celeste Humphrey — Correspondances #1

My work often explores dreams, trauma, nostalgia and identity. With these submissions, in tandem with the transient nature of postcards and the anticipation of hearing from someone you love far away, I draw upon the fleeting memories and sense of longing tied to impactful romantic connections that have passed through my life. Using photos from my personal archives, I printed cyanotypes on watercolour paper, embellished with rubber stamped text, handwritten script and light touches of metallic ink. These images of nature demand respect for the beauty in all things brief, for their endings are natural and we must make peace with letting go -- something I'm still learning to accept.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
