Rocío Sáenz. Chihuahua  Mexico 1971. Study Masters in Art  Fine Arts at the ISA Havana Cuba. Her work has been exhibited individually and collectively into national and international levels (Europe  USA). She has received several awards among which the Scholarship Young Creators of the FONCA in his 2003-2004  in 2006 receives the scholarship winner of the 2006/2007 VSC MexAm Fellowship. In 2009 is selected by the artist Jannis Kounellis  to participate in a workshop organized by the Marcelino Botín Foundation in Santander  Spain. In 2010 wins the first place of the II Biennial of Painting  Pedro Coronel. In 2012  2014 and 2016 is selected for the Biennial Monterrey FEMSA in its X  XI and XII editions consecutively. 2014 Santa Fe Art Institute selects her project and gives it a residence in the city of Santa Fe  New Mexico. 2015 is selected to exhibit in the afterbirth project in England and in the same year she took part in the event of Open Studio in Madrid  Spain. 2019 wins the prize “Premio Chihuahua 2019”. In 2020 participates representing México in the third Asunción Biennial (BIA) in Paraguay. 2022- 2025 wins a national fellowship given from SNCA in México.
