Cette expérience a-t-elle été utile ?
My artistic practice delves into the layered, symbolic world of maritime culture, where sea life, ships, and cartography serve as metaphors for struggle, resilience, and transformation. Drawing inspiration from scrimshaw and rooted in traditional craft, I create artist books, block prints, and paintings that evoke the tactile quality of history and memory. These works function as vessels—compendiums of imagined voyages, personal mythology, and collective experience.
Central to this practice is an ecological awareness of the ocean as a living system shaped by both human histories and cosmic forces. By weaving together scientific inquiry with mythology and material practice, my work reflects on the delicate balance between natural systems and human impact, inviting a deeper awareness of our place within these vast, interdependent networks.
