Cette expérience a-t-elle été utile ?
In my artistic work, I investigate how power and hierarchy inscribe themselves into everyday gestures – in the subtext of a glance, a pose, or a staged scene – making them difficult to expose and confront. The figures and spaces may appear coherent at first glance, but on closer inspection reveal uncomfortable interactions, distorted perspectives or a subtle sense of incongruity. Working primarily with oil paint and drawing, I interpret these "human, all too human" scenes with an uncanny yet humorous subtext.
The postcard "Sommerloch" is a printed version of a Gouache on paper painting with coats of Gouache on the printed version, it is somewhere in-between of a print and an original (although more like an original artwork). The "Sommerloch"/ Silly season for me refers to the time in summer when the social and city life slows down, which may feel like an unwanted stop of the everyday life.
