My photographic work involves mostly landscapes and natural history subjects, particularly geology and paleontology. At the museum I take many photos of fossils there for academic publications, and sometimes just to document what's going on in the lab. I also take macro-photos of insects in the museum's collection for publication. I occasionally write for the local geological society as well as contribute photographs and occasionally graphics for outreach and the society's newsletter.
