The submitted works explore interactions between people, memory and the material world.

Through collage, I use silhouettes of the human body and objects connected to personal memory to investigate how contact, distance and overlap change the emotional state of an image.

In the prints, I reflect on trace in both a personal and physical sense: the shifting trace of memory, and the marks human activity leaves on the earth itself. Drawing on the visual language of maps, exploration and geological records, these works move between intimate experience and the physical surface of the world.
