Cette expérience a-t-elle été utile ?
My work reflects on the fragility of life across the mind, body, identity, and social systems. I work across drawing, painting, and found objects. I am interested in the ways the body and mind, the home, and the social landscape each carry traces of impermanence, instability, loss, and change. The work suggests that what feels private is entangled with broader social and political conditions.
Rooted in personal experience, my work draws from home, nature and industrial spaces. It also incorporates bodily and mental conditions, and national symbols. Across these elements, forms appear in states of fragmentation or repair. I am drawn to impermanent, fragile, and degraded materials including paper, sand, dead flowers, torn fabrics. My practice is not bound by a single medium. I move freely between imagery, materials, and forms.
My work asks: How can a legacy extend beyond our personal lives? How can what has broken down be repaired? Why is everything impermanent? I do not offer an answer. In my work fragility is a condition of loss shared across human life, memory, identity and systems.
