Iva Peroš — Correspondances #1

The submitted postcards are assembled from fragments of historical correspondence, postal remains and archival paper materials. Alongside found fragments, the works incorporate papers that have been toned and transformed by hand, allowing new traces and layers of time to emerge.

Rather than reconstructing complete messages, the works preserve only traces: torn handwriting, postal marks, damaged paper and fragments of journeys. Each postcard presents a different fragment of a larger correspondence that can no longer be fully recovered.

The works were intentionally left unfinished. Their final layer will be created through physical travel and postal handling on their journey to Paris, allowing the postcards to continue accumulating traces in the same way the original materials once did.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
