"Vertan" and "Tanver" (2026) occupies a liminal space between organic structure and painterly abstraction. Composed as a diptych, the work unfolds across two interconnected paper surfaces, where fields of circular forms emerge from a richly textured ground. The composition is anchored by a subtle chromatic transition: luminous yellow forms inhabit the left panel, while muted green counterparts occupy the right. This shift in colour establishes a visual passage that suggests transformation, migration, or the evolution of natural systems over time. The work's material presence is central to its meaning. Layers of pigment, imprint, and textured mark-making accumulate across the surface, creating a palimpsest of gestures that evoke processes of growth, erosion, and renewal. The circular motifs appear simultaneously cellular and planetary, microscopic and cosmic, resisting fixed interpretation while encouraging associative readings. Their repetition generates rhythm and continuity, yet slight variations in scale, placement, and density prevent the composition from settling into strict order. Within the history of abstraction, the work engages with questions of process, perception, and material transformation.
