My work is very diverse but revolves around two themes: the environment and memory/disappearance.
I am currently working on a professional short film using animated painting with water-soluble paint—which is therefore non-polluting. Part of it takes place in a dreamlike forest. Each image is erased to make way for the next, so that in the end, no image remains except the film itself.
I also develop chlorotype images to capture the fragility of a moment. Once exposed to the sun, the image on the plant material fades away, leaving only a reproduction.
For a long time now, I’ve been filling sketchbooks, often using old train tickets, maps… travel mementos that people don’t usually keep.
I wanted to share two images with you that reflect this work and show places I’ve visited, because, for me, a postcard is a memento of a trip. One is a sketch of Sète drawn on a tourist map, and the other is a chlorotype of Lyon.
I hope they arrive safely at their destination.
Thank you for this wonderful initiative; I wish you every success.
