The series of photographic diptychs “A Bridge Rather Than a Wall: Tribute to Francis” invites viewers to consider two realities that face each other: the reality faced by migrants during their journey, and the reality that is born of the promise of tranquillity offered by religious rituals. Echoing the words of Pope Francis, these diptychs offer an offbeat look at familiar religious objects to remind us of the danger and precariousness of migration routes, lined with walls and barbed wire adorned with stuffed animals torn from children who will never forget.
The third photo represents the village hall in Janjina where the Vizura exhibitions took place. This is used to be the village cinema in the 80'. Now, the hall is closed most of the time. The photo is called: "Once upon a time, there was a cinema".
