Zin Lim was born in Seoul, South Korea.
He majored industrial design as emphasis of Environmental design at Hong-Ik university (Hong Dae Ap, Shinchon in Seoul), before moving to San Francisco, California, where he completed his formation with a MFA in Fine Arts, at the Academy of Art University.
He won several awards among which are Best of Show, Peninsula Art League Annual Open Show, in 2013, Best of Show, Coleman Fine Art National Juried Exhibition, 2010, Best of Show, Fiesta de la Paloma National Juried Art Show, 2010.
His work focuses on the human body, in his hybrid, crossover and metamorphosis shapes. He catches the ephemeral, vivid movement of shapes as if they were forever whirling on the paper, giving black charcoal the grace of a dance.Visit Artist’s Page
