Chiaki Azami — Correspondances #1

My work consists of abstract line drawings created through an intuitive and improvisational process. Rather than working from sketches or fixed concepts, I begin drawing freely and respond to the emerging forms as they appear. The final image is often as surprising to me as it is to the viewer.

Using flowing lines, layered marks, and occasional, I create compositions that exist between abstraction and figuration. Animals, faces, landscapes, and symbolic forms sometimes emerge from the network of lines, inviting multiple interpretations.

The works selected for this submission are part of an ongoing exploration of chance, perception, and transformation. They reflect my interest in discovering unexpected connections and finding meaning within uncertainty.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
