These are the intentions I breathe into my colors—analogous, unpredictable, unknown. And yet, in the end, strangely familiar.
For as long as I can remember, I have been trying to translate this world—fundamentally beautiful, both chaotic and coherent—that carries us, through my work. I strive to stay as close as possible to raw sensations, those that take shape only within us, that are born deep in the gut and rise beyond the skin.
More and more, I find myself drawn to and influenced by the ancient skies and fertile lands of Eastern Europe, the place I come from.
Across all techniques, though leaning toward organic materials, I delight in experimentation.
I love working in collaboration with people from other fields—music, writing, the performing arts—and discovering analogies where, at first glance, there seem to be none (listening, scent).
