Éloïse et l’Arc

Sandra Modrego Orta is a plastic artist based in Barcelona, whose work celebrates life and human beauty. Her paintings, full of color, explore themes such as love, desire, the body, and the cosmic, without falling into lust, but rather highlighting the vitality of existence. Using graphic simplification, she turns human forms into lines and planes of color, where color itself is inseparable from the content of the work. Recently, Modrego Orta has started a series exploring the interrupted dreams of mothers. These paintings delve into the emotions and repressed desires of women who are often subordinate to their maternal roles.
