“Forest boy” is drawn with a cockatoo feather quill and ink, created in Australia by artist Mel Kennedy.
The intention was to suggest an innocent young man playing amongst the gumtrees in the native bushland of Australia, at peace and at one with nature.
The fantasy-like depiction is intentional- The harsh reality is that The Australian bushlands have been cleared extensively for farming, and are increasingly impacted by destructive bushfires every year, as global warming accelerates.
