The creations of Fleur Helluin take the form of paintings, sculptures, installations and performative installations. Her work uses to poetry and humour to underline the friction between the banal and the spiritual, linked to the human experience. Her work is influenced by the painters Alfred Courmes (thanks to the intervention of Marc Desgrandschamps), Omoda Seiju and Robin F. Williams, and the musicians Peaches, Remi Wolf and Evgeny Kissin.
Fleur Helluin's work has been displayed in institutional and commercial spaces in France (Galerie Duchamp), Germany (AKA Galerie), Switzerland (Théâtre de Monthey), the United States (Tussle Projects), and in Belgium (L’Approche art centre), and is represented by the Red-D gallery in Greece. Fleur Helluin studied under the supervision of Gilgian Gelzer and Joël Hubaut in Caen, France, and Norbert Bisky in Salzburg, Austria. She was part of the Art & Technology of the Image programme at the Paris 8 University, and is a member of the dance-punk band Plateau Repas. Having lived for long periods of time in Berlin and Leipzig, she now resides in Normandy, France. Since 2013, she has developed a curatorial and journalistic practice, particularly with the column Passion Painting which appears in the German magazine Kaltblut.
