Born in 1957 in upstate New York, artist Brian Lynch embarked on a diverse artistic journey.

After obtaining a B.A. in painting, he apprenticed with Alex Katz in NYC, shaping his representational style. Lynch furthered his studies in printmaking at the Art Institute of Chicago and earned an MFA at the University of Iowa. His teaching career includes positions at Governors State University and the University at Albany.

Lynch's impact extends nationally with exhibitions throughout the United States, and he has garnered recognition through awards from the Illinois Arts Council and New York Foundation for the Arts, along with a prestigious MacDowell Fellowship.
