My creative practice is rooted in the quiet poetry of things once loved and gently weathered. I gather fragments of forgotten stories—timeworn textiles, faded photographs, vintage papers, found objects, and treasures gathered from woodland walks—and weave them together into pieces that honour memory, nature, and the beauty of imperfection.
Working across mixed media, I blend stitch, collage, assemblage, textiles, and book artistry, allowing each material to guide its own narrative. Every thread, pressed leaf, handwritten note, and worn surface carries a history, inviting new conversations between the past and the present.
I continue to live with the daily realities of long COVID. Some days are generous, allowing me to spend hours immersed in making; others require rest and acceptance. My creative practice has taught me to work with those changing rhythms rather than against them. It has become both a refuge and a way of understanding the world—a slow, thoughtful process of gathering, stitching, layering, and transforming.
Altered books hold a special place within my practice. I enjoy transforming discarded volumes into sculptural objects and quiet vessels of remembrance, where layers of paper, stitch, natural ephemera, and found objects create spaces that invite reflection.
