Chen Xue, born in China in 1993, graduated in Painting in 2016 in China and later in Sculpture in 2019 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. He currently lives and works in Castellarano.
Although he graduated from an art college, Chen Xue does not define himself as a professional artist. He does not engage in artistic creation full-time—not only due to practical challenges such as the economic precarity faced by many artists, but also because, during her studies, he came to understand that her relationship with art would be a long-term one. He finds joy in everything that the creative process brings her, and for her, that is enough. He prefers a relationship with creation that is not bound by obligation, a dynamic that allows her to approach it more freely and objectively.
