I am an interdisciplinary visual artist whose practice explores connection: between people, places, memories and the more-than-human world. Working across photography, film, sound, text, installation, performance and socially engaged practice, I am interested in how relationships shape our understanding of ourselves and the environments we inhabit.

My work often begins with curiosity and close observation. In How Does Our Garden Grow?, a socially engaged art project in East Dulwich, I invited residents to explore biodiversity in their gardens and local green spaces, uncovering connections between contemporary urban habitats and a nineteenth-century dairy farm that once occupied the site. The project combined art, local history, citizen science and community participation, creating an evolving digital archive of ecology and place.

This interest in connection, collective enquiry and creating opportunities for others has also led me to establish the MA:KESPACE art collective and other artist-led initiatives. Whether working independently or collaboratively, I am driven by a desire to bring people together through creativity, curiosity and shared experience.

I am also interested in how our freedom to protest is being challenged by an authoritarian government in the UK, and created the No Message Protest performance artwork to highlight the changes the UK government were pushing through parliament to curtail freedom of speech and protest. www.coleenduff.com https://www.instagram.com/no_message_protest/ https://howdoesourgardengrow.com/
