David Morris — Correspondances #3

In my drawings and paintings I try to convey an aspect of humanity that captivated me -  that I saw, or that I imagined, during that time I was in the presence of the people portrayed.

For this show, I submitted 3 postcards. Two are reproductions of small oil paintings. The third is an original oil painting on prepared paper. Each piece portrays two models at a time they had posed together in my studio. While I had met only one of the models previously, they were friends with each other. Each is a creator in her own right - photographers, poet, burlesque performers. They enjoyed both the experience of working with a friend and also collaborating to create something.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
