Photography is my primary medium, using it to elevate moments and encounters that are usually overlooked. Intimacy is at the root of what interests me as an artist.

My photographic practice seeks to address the fractures underlying human relationships. I highlight the discourse that revolves around human interactions; around the fissures between two bodies. I construct and seek awkward social situations that are normally brushed off or forgotten, using performance, audio, text, and photography to abide and elevate them unto a new level. A level in which intimacy is recorded, uncovered and aestheticized. I document relationships. I toy with the conventions of being subject or simply a documentarian of encounters between entities. The relationships I am interested in often produce textual ephemera. Phone conversations, cell phone text messages, emails, love notes, and letters are transcribed, recorded and re-contextualized into new forms to comment on the human desire to express love, lust, need of closeness; a need to cease loneliness.
