I work with a wide range of techniques in my visual practice. Some works are pure collage, while others combine collage with paint or incorporate wood, metal and found materials. Much of my latest work consists of combinations of both acrylic and oil paint. During the process I often deliberately expose the surface to physical intervention — sometimes even what could be described as ”controlled damage” — using tools such as grinders or a hot iron. These actions create textures, scars and unexpected ”anomalies” that become an essential part of the final image. My process is primarily intuitive and inward. Most works begin without a fixed plan, emerging from improvisation and subconscious impulses. At times I also work from visual references or fragments taken from old magazines, newspapers or printed material, allowing them to serve as a point of departure before the work develops in its own direction.

Reflection is also very important part of my practice. The work evolves slowly through periods of contemplation as much as through physical action. Even the frames are treated as integral elements of the composition rather than simple borders. Their structures, together with the colours and materials I use, are rooted in memories of growing up during the mid-1970s. A period that remains for me filled with muted atmospheres, quiet mystery and a lasting curiosity about the world that then was surrounded me as a 4 year old boy, and that still is haunting me 50 years later. Some of my work also incorporate LED light circuits. These are not intended as decorative effects, but rather as subtle interventions that emphasise or reveal elements already present within the composition, giving certain forms or objects an additional presence.

I have exhibited at ”Galleri Rotor” in Gothenburg in 1993–1994. Between 2015 and 2019 my work have also been represented by Barbro Fredholm at ”Galleri Colon”, where many pieces have been sold through the gallery. Since 2016 I have participated in Galleri Uddenberg’s/CU Gallery’s annual group exhibition ”Mikro”, most recently in 2025. My work is also represented in the collection of the City of Gothenburg.
