Context
In the local and global reality of senseless wars, these postcards offer a multilingual, cross-continental call for peace.
Each postcard is handmade, featuring embroidery on paper using 1:50,000 topographic maps of the Middle East as its foundation. The delicate embroidery is destined to tear or unravel during international postal transit, reflecting both the fragility of our existence and the resilience of the individual voice in the face of political, economic, and technological systems of destruction.
The work uses the Avraham typeface, designed in 2017 by Daniel Grumer as a declaration of peace across three languages: Hebrew, Arabic, and English.
