My work typically spans printmaking and painting, though I also work in collage and sculpture. My work focuses on mundane places, spaces and objects that are often meant to be overlooked or ignored. I highlight how ordinary minutiae mark the passage of time and people, and what is forgotten or left behind in our social consciousness. The changing nature and forms of the places we call home are also a primary concern- having grown up in San Francisco, I've been greatly affected by its rapid transformation under the forces of gentrification and massive influxes of wealth. The fragmentary, slow, and contemplative nature of the making of these images is a response to the rapid-paced visual culture of the digital age.
