This series of linocut prints uncovers the hidden history of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops. I focus on the Eveleigh Locomotive Sand Tower—a prominent structure in Erskineville that is visible to all, yet understood by few. Not even the rail workers at today’s Eveleigh Precinct maintenance centre, where the tower stands, know what the structure was originally used for. This work bridges the gap between everyday local sight and forgotten industrial memory.
