Yvonne Roeb

Yvonne Roeb, born in Frankfurt am Main in 1976, studied visual arts under Timm Ulrichs and Katharina Fritsch at the Münster Academy of Fine Arts. She lives and works in Berlin and Paris.

Her work explores the relationship between nature, animals, and imagination, while also addressing the external and internal territories of human existence. Central to her practice is the body—its mobility, vulnerability, and intimacy.

Roeb has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and the United States, including in Berlin, Paris, and New York. In addition to her visual art practice, she has published several books, including the Artifiziarium series, and frequently collaborates on interdisciplinary projects. Her work has been recognized with several scholarships and awards, including the Kallmann Prize (2018) and the Balmoral Art Prize (2025). Her works are held in public collections including the Federal Republic of Germany, the Lehmbruck Museum, Kunsthalle Emden, Marta Herford Museum, and the National Museum – Four Domes Pavilion in Wrocław, Poland, among others.
