My guiding principle, ‘Imagination is the eye of the soul’, is what really drives my work. I mainly study colour, often weaving in nature, light and poetry. My layered, glazed approach to colour is inspired by Goethe’s ideas about colour and the balance between bright, luminous colours and more static, pictorial ones. I see painting as a continuous journey, constantly asking questions and finding new answers in the colourful world around us.

I have also collaborated with sculptor Wim Lemmens to create large outdoor artworks where the form and surroundings are harmoniously integrated.

The artwork comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
