Victor Rondot (b. 1992, Boulogne, France) is a Paris-based painter trained at the École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. His practice is grounded in painting from life, favoring direct observation over photographic sources in order to engage more intimately with the visible world.

Working through a constant dialogue between imagination and reality, Rondot often begins with an internal image before reintroducing the presence of a model or still life to anchor the composition. This method allows him to preserve the spontaneity of gesture while giving his paintings a sense of weight and structure. His subjects—ranging from portraits and still lifes to more introspective or allegorical scenes—can evoke emotional states, tributes, or metaphysical reflections.

Influenced by the solidity and material intelligence of Old Master painting, as well as by his background in decorative arts, Rondot develops a painterly language that is both rigorous and sensuous. His work ultimately explores painting as a space of inquiry, where perception, memory, and the pleasure of handling color converge.
